The last step is to click the "Apply" button in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Or, simply remove it from the map and another vanilla island will replace it.ħ. However, after placing a custom island, you can replace it with another custom island whenever you like. ![]() You must replace one of the existing islands on your map. Note, you cannot place a custom island randomly in the ocean. Left click and hold your mouse button, and drag the island over the top of an existing island (on the map) that you want to replace. It's more or less a simple drag and drop process: Mouse over the first custom island that you want to place. The next step is to place the islands on your map. You should see all of the islands that you just subscribed to.Ħ. Now open your game and go to the "Cartographer." Then open the "Community" tab in the upper left corner. Repeat this process until you've accumulated all of the islands that you want to place on your map.ĥ. Once you find an island that you like, simply click the "Subscribe" button. A few had problems setting everything up so I thought I would create a set of instructions for subscribing to custom islands for those of you who are interested: I've seen several posts from people showing an interest in the custom islands in the Workshop.
